Scope: Architectural design
Brief:
2 portions of vastu-compliant and affordable single-storey 1 BHK houses on a 244 square yards site for a growing family
The client asked for the total built-up area to fit within approx. 200 sq yds on a 244 sq yds site
Concepts:
1) Reduce corridors as much as possible, creating multi-use spaces with minimum walls
2) Reduce heat gain by adding an extra roof on the terrace, which also makes the house look traditionally attractive
3) Orient rooms and walls such that least number of columns and beams are required, and are not visible inside
Site Area: 2200 sqft (~ 244 sq yds)
