Client: Hyderabad-based developer + Gated community residents' association
Type: Community centre
Scope: Facade design
Brief: The residents' association required a community centre which was nature-inspired, simple, rustic, but also a local landmark
Concept: An all-glass building which allowed for great views of the surrounding community areas, but protected the interiors from harsh glare and heat from the sun; this was achieved by using a 'second skin' of wood (or wood substitutes) and wire-cut bricks for the building; surrounded with ample landscaping and common spaces on the ground
Design Area: Around 7,000 sqft
